Tanjim Chowdhury
I am Tanjim Chowdhury, an artist originally from Bangladesh, now based in Rennes, France.

Art and culture have always held a deep fascination for me. My journey into the world of art began in high school, where I discovered a passion for drawing and handicrafts. After high school, this passion led me to enroll at the Institute of Fine Arts at the University of Chittagong in Bangladesh. There, I received a comprehensive education in art history, spanning from prehistory to modern art, including Western, Eastern, and Bangladeshi art. I earned my Bachelor’s degree (BFA) in 2013, followed by a Master’s degree in Fine Arts (MFA) in 2014.

During my years at Chittagong’s Fine Arts Institute, I was profoundly influenced by French art and culture. My curiosity about global art forms eventually sparked a particular interest in France, a country renowned for its rich artistic history and vibrant contemporary art scene. This fascination inspired me to continue my artistic journey here in France.
